Members

Membership: Membership of the University of Liverpool Singapore Society is open to all Singaporeans residing in Liverpool. We also welcome anyone regardless of race, religion or nationality who may be interested in joining the society and is a member of the Student Union. Each of the following national flag represents the respective nationalities of our members, past and present!

Membership fee: Application for membership will entail a fee, and the validity of a membership is for one academic year. Collected at the beginning of every new academic year, the fund will go directly to the society account held by the Student Union.

Rationale for membership fee: The fee is necessary for the continuing registration of the Society with the Guild of Students.

Your rights as a member: As an official member, you will be entitled to rebates and discounts at certain Society events, should the Committee decide that such rebates and discounts should be given.

More importantly, you possess a single vote to be exercised during the Annual General Meeting (AGM), which is held once every academic year. Essentially, you will be voting for the persons who would be comprising the next Committee. The AGM is a very important annual affair and the attendance of all official members are mandatory. Your vote is important and it matters. Do exercise it.

Non-Members: It is to be noted that according to the Constitution, non-members can only attend annual general meetings on the invitation of the committee and they shall have no voting right during the election. They shall also assume the role of an observer and can only comment upon the invitation of the Committee.
