To usher in the New Year, the Singsoc hosted a special dinner for all members. Held at the Mayflower Restaurant, the evening began with a bang...quite literally really.


Yep, a lion dance troop, right here in Liverpool, performed the traditional lion dance. Complete with acrobatic acts and accompanied by cymbals, a singular gong and drums!

Gillian had also made her delicious home-made Yu Sheng. It might have been the taste of home that everyone eventually got a -little- bit carried away with the tossing (i believe more of the yu sheng was on the table then the plate after we were done with it).


The night went on, with several dozen rounds of karaoke. By the end of the night, we've even managed to establish our very own boyband. It was truly a memorable night, and by far one of the best!
